I'm with Determined, Traxis is wonderful.
After submitting 19 pages the other day (to several SE's) Traxis showed the Lycos spiders had been by - couple of days later those page were in the Inktomi products.
Traxis never showed Slurp's visits.
Looking forward to the collective update
I haven't forgotten about the other problem, I just don't have a solution created yet. I do know what the problem is, but the solution is involved. Because the counter deals with many different servers and systems, surprisingly, it is the most system dependant of all the code. Thanks for the great info on that one.
Maybe you could look at the log files once. Load them up in an editor and search for "slurp". If slurp was by on a page that was tracked by Traxis, it sure should have seen it. (wfm: works for me) I see slurp all the time, and I am sure that Engine.ini file in the zip is the current one I'm using. If it saw Trex/Lycos, it should have seen Slurp for sure. I can't think of anything off hand that would cause it to see one and not another.
Traxis works by a combo of agent name and domain only. If it didn't don't you think we'd have way too many false hits? I will ponder that, because I can sure see the need.
Does it show up if you try a power filter on "inktomi" in the hostname field?
