Hey rayjam - It's beginning to look as if not many of the regulars here use these types of service. You didn't indicate what your trying to accomplish but most ISPs provide some type of reporting with their service which may be the reason.

Hi Dave

I would like to give my clients access to info relating to number of hits, so they can see just what a good idea it was hiring me in the first place (I hope). Seriously though, It's just that I would like them to access this basic info without having to use new software etc. but at the same time have it coming from an impartial third party.
Thanks

rayjam, if you don't care if the whole world sees it also, you could use xtreme tracker. The visible one is free, you can pay extra for a private one.
extreme-dm.com/tracking/

Another free remote one is:
webtrendslive.com/

A decent counter that also gives some extra info, like search engine referrals and search terms is at bravenet:
bravenet.com

These are all remotely hosted, and you can also check out what they have under the perl scripts at
cgi-resources.com
There are other remotely hosted services there too.

rayjam - My host provides decent traffic reports which can be password protected as well as the raw logs. If your host offers similar, you could simply distribute the PW to your clients.

Hi

I would like to be able to offer clients access to 'number of hits' info from a neutral third party. especially for PPC work

SuperStats has a decent tracking system if you look at the professional packages. It has very good reporting on the Search Engines and keyword phrases.

Stay away from HitBOX. They only track keywords and search engines if the visitor comes through your "home page". Useless. unless they've made some changes recently

Sorry Guys, I didn't explain fully, please forgive.
I actually want to have a way of counting traffic which is leaving my doorway site to the target site via a specific link or links!
