Even though I'm using WebTrends, and am attempting to Exclude my site's URL from the reports, I still get my site showing up in the Referrer logs.
What IS the deal with that? Why does it do that, anyway? I see this happening on other sites, too...
Also: No referrers: are they definitely one of these:
- someone typing the URL in the address bar
- someone clicking on an email sig file link
What about someone who comes in from a bookmark?
Thanks in advance for your insight

From MSIE 5.x (I think) the browser requests "favicon.ico" when you go to a site via a bookmark. These requests are shown in the "Top Referring Sites" table as "Bookmarks".

Try this:
Create one include filter:
Referring URL: http:* www*
And one exclude filter:
Referring URL: *yourowndomain.com*
These two filters will exclude all internal referrers and "No Referrer".
If you want No Referrer to show up just ad an normal "Include All" instead of the above include filter.
