Wordtracker Evaluator List

Are the numbers off with Wordtracker?

This morning I used the Wordtracker Evaluator List and decided to verify the number of SE results for a given Keyword(s).
For example I used keyword: "above ground pools"
Wordtracker evaluator cameback with:
Google: 765,000
MSN: 1,999,937
Yahoo: 571,000
When I go to each of the SE's here are the # of results they return for the same keywork:
Google: 11,000,000
MSN: 1,796,599
Yahoo: 2,990,000

These numbers are way off by a +/- margin % error that is too wide for us to rely on. Does anyone else run into this same problem?

I realize this is still in "beta" right?

the difference you are seeing can be largely attributed to the use of quotes.

WordTracker is using "above ground pools"

you are looking at Y-G-MSN with above ground pools

the results will be vastly different.

When you do a competitive search turn off quotes, then you will be getting results closer to what you expected.

Hope that helps.
