IP to Country database

Where does those numbers come from

Hello!

I decided to build my own IP to Country database. Thing I don't realize, is that how do they get the countries to their databases. Is there a bit of some country code in the IP number? Like in cellphones when you call abroad, you will have to have the country code.

no there isn't!

you can't do it that way, you'll have to look up places like arin to see where all the blocks are allocated, they also change!

imo - get the list from somewhere else, free ones are available
