My company used to use urchin before it was aquired by google. Once google made it free a few weeks ago, the reports didn't really work and now you are unable to add a new profile if you have an additional site.

Sooo...I was thinking about going to webtrends since that seems similarly priced to what urchin used to be. Does anyone have any thoughts on the pros and cons of webtrends and how it compares to urchin? (cause i still like urchin I just don't like what google did to it and the lack of support).

thanks,

I use Webtrends for a few of my clients. It depends on what stats you need. I would also recomend you looking into ClickTracks I am looking into the ISP version.... I have used their product since 2003

Definitely should take a look at NetTracker before you make a decision. A lot of vendors are limiting your number of Page Views and charging more $$ for going over a certain amount. I found that NetTracker is a great fit if you expect to grow.

It is not just the variety of reports, but how does their methodology for measuring "unique visitors" compare to the Urchin UTM? Because if I remember correctly, that was a pretty decent system for measuring unique visitors.

I still like Urchin, because of its excellent interface. But some of my webmaster-friends use ClickTracks, and they are happy with the results.
