Traffic drops during/ after the holidays

It is typical for traffic to dip during the holidays: understandably, people don't go online when they are with families. Usually, though, it picks up again within a day or two.
This last week, for example, from Palm Sunday to Easter (March 24 - 31) traffic numbers were off by almost 30%.

Oddly, it hasn't picked up yet.

Is anyone else experiencing the same thing?

Traffic boomed of easter for me and has began to drop to normal today.

March Madness nearly kills me, but I've managed to survive yet another year. I've also noticed a slowdown when the first week or so of really nice Spring weather starts kicking in, but nothing like 30%.

Had about a 30% drop off too and not that many money spenders as well. Friday was good but Sat. - Mon was horrible. There was a big boost on Tue. but today it is really low again.

seen a massive drop over easter, though i am quite used to site's having a drop over the weekend, because of the sector, being Mon to Fri. weekends are holidays.

So, do e-commerce sites have more of a drop around the holidays than informational sites?

Over in the UK, we get this week and next week off in all the education establishments (at least in Scotland anyway), so I wouldnt expect any dip in traffic, which ive seen also, to pick up entirely until the end of next week, or a G**gle up**te

I usually see a pronounced drop in traffic from Friday afternoon through the weekend. It started a day early last week (Thursday), and things seemed a bit slow on the day after Easter as well.

Traffic now seems to have recovered, but affiliate sales have been down quite a bit this week. I had record or near-record sales for the first three days of the week before Easter, but I haven't been anywhere near my previous records this week. (And today--Thursday--has been dismal, even though Monday through Wednesday weren't bad.)

FWIW, March affiliate sales also started off quite slowly but went nuts in the last half of the month. I wonder if there's something about the beginning of the month that makes people reluctant to buy. Maybe they've just paid their bills and sent in the mortgage or rent check, so they feel poor until their mid-month paychecks arrive.
