strange referrer

it's an ugly url starting with sp-servers - trying to click on the link crashes my browser.....

any ideas?

After the log spammers i would not be surprised to see some peoples posting spyware or trojan "booby trapped" web pages. You should maybe not follow suspicious referers links that you found in your weblog.

A search on that name indicates that it's associated with browser hijacking.

You should follow the 'repair' instructions if you find your IE browser is being hijacked, or do it now to prevent problems. It seems that a combination of Ad-Aware, Spybot Search & Destroy, and Hijack This! (all free and reputable programs) can be used to remove the exploit.

It's good advice to not click on referrers in your logs. Or if you are curious, do a search for the quoted domain name first to find out if it is already causing problems for others.
