Can someone recommend a free counter that works?

I had a page that nobody even knows about that I had sent to someone and I want to know if they ever read the page. So, I needed a counter that would exclude me. But it didn't work. I used www.sitemeter.com. It still counted my hits even though I told it to exclude me.

I guess I could dig into log files, which I haven't done in years and the file is gigantic.

And good free counters that will exclude me? THanks.

Awstats is a free program that lets you exclude any IP you specify.

It's not quite as simple as a remotly hosted solution but will give you far better data to work with.
