Okay Iam a techy guy but this is driving me crazy.

Both of theses anylzsers make no sense to me whatsoever how to install them. They are really not at all easy to install, i'd assume they'd just have some install executable or whatever you can run, instead its asking me to run scripts and so forth. But they don't tell u how to even run them, and basically i can't even do the first step to install.

can someone please help me, iam very frustrated w/ thisgawd!

Awstats can be a bit of a trip the first time you install it.

If I understand correctly you need to run the install in console (shell)

The docs aren't to bad, but the first time you install it, it can be a bit tricky.

My hosting provider has Awstats pre-installed but I wanted to play with the config and get some additional features. I installed it in cgi-bin and it was easy. I can update it hourly instead of daily the way hosting has it and I can do filtered looks at the server log. All the set up is one awstats.conf file.
