Ok here is my stats using awstats

Googlebot 1811+34 38.40 MB 28 Apr 2005 - 21:23
Google AdSense 1052+19 23.19 MB 28 Apr 2005 - 21:14

So what is the difference between both? Why are there two bots from google? I am running adsense on my pages as well.

And 38.40mb so far per 3/4 month, is that normal? my site has been up for like 10 months. I have a robots.txt disallowing certain pages, is that why the bots are not coming often?

Adsense bot comes to your site only to read your pages and serve relevant ads according to that content. It also only comes to those pages with adsense code. The presence of this bot has no relevance in normal Google SERPS. For eg. if your page is about cars, this bot takes the text, read it and then Google serves car-related ads.

The normal Googlebot comes to index your site, and will crawl through whatever pages it can. This is the bot that takes your pages for Google to index, and the pages are ranked and will appear in SERPs later.

It also only comes to those pages with adsense code.

Also if visitors are using the free version of Opera.

Thanks for the reply and reminding me of the free version of opera.

What about the bandwidth used? Is that normal or it determines i have a low traffic website.
