Mozilla as the only User agent in Webalizer

Can somebody explain me what this means?

Hello guys! I am new at this forum so please sorry if my question is duplicated or seems to be silly :)

Looking at the stats in Webalizer I have noticed that the only User agent is Mozilla...How this can be?
Why no IE, FireFox, Netscape? On other our sites there are all of them.
All traffic to this site is generated from Google ad words and Overture. Can this be a reason?
Please advice. Thank you!

Here are the stats details:
-----------------------------

Top 15 of 491 Total User Agents

# Hits User Agent
1 79970 21.11% Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; .NET

2 48177 12.72% Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1)

3 30721 8.11% Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1)

4 30071 7.94% Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 1

5 19162 5.06% Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0)

6 11097 2.93% Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0; .NET CLR 1

7 10438 2.76% Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows 98)

8 9359 2.47% Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; FunWebProd

9 8479 2.24% Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gec

10 7530 1.99% Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; AOL 9.0; Windows NT 5.1; S

and so on...

The first 8 entries are "MSIE 6.0" then you have a "Gecko" browser (probably Firefox) at 9 and "AOL" at 10. Look at the "MangleAgent" or "GroupAgent" options in the webalizer config.

Everyone has their favorite analyzer /reporter ..

That said analyzing raw data files will tell you more more but is harder ..worth learning how to do eventually tho..

I would suggest that if you want an easy to read accurate tool then use "awstats" ( freeware installed already in most server configs ..you just need to switch it on or ask your host to do so ) ...

You will find it simpler to use and to identfiy the visitors etc to your site ..however it will not tell you which broswer came to you nor via which keyword ..

but ..

Bear in mind that browsers can "spoof" also ..IE does this by identifying itself as a variety of "moz"

It is easier than webalizer for a beginner ..

Welcome to WebmasterWorld :) ..Julia_R...

( it wasn't a silly question at all )

Thank you guys!

Yes, I know about Awstats, I use it at our other servers, but this one doesn't have it, just Webalizer.

Julia_R, if you have (or can get) access to the web server logs, you can run awstats by hand to produce reports.
