No bots tracking:: Can I see when a bot visits?

I am using a stats program that does not tell me when robots (GoogleBot, YahooSlurp, etc) come to my site and would like to know if there is a way to tell by looking at IP Visits?

I noticed some IP's that visited my site were lj2240.inktomisearch.com and tide509.microsoft.com. These IP's had no referrals so can I assume they are robots?

The first host should be a bot's, the second may not.
Missing referrals do not give a clue and looking at IP would be really a lot of work as some bots may come from lots of different IPs.
