Twice a week at least seems to be always on Weds or Thurs that the majority of my traffic on most of my sites shows up with strange "referrals". I click on these referrals and it does not go to my website instead it redirects around for awhile and finally gets to a affiliate type landing page where it sells me something. Is this legal? Isn't this proof that they are using my sites content to use these redirects? What can I do about this? Or is it something else going on?

Please Advise.

If I did not post this in the right forum let me know.

strange "referrals". I click on these referrals

Never click on referrals from your stats.
This will give them the URL of your stats in their referrals. If your stats are not protected they can then look at your stats. Always type the url into your browser if you want to check on them.

'strange referrals'
are they about adult content or pharmacuticals?
This is 'referral spam' They are not linking to you, they are only making your stats log 'think' they are linking to you so that they get into your logs and then you will go visit "who's linking to me?"

If the referral is one of your pages and redirects to another site you have a serious problem, if it is only referral spam you can ignore it or deny then access.
