How much affect does a webmaster uploading and viewing a page to test it affect stats, if most of it is done from one computer? Which stats will it affect the most? What are some ways to deal with this?

It affects stats as much as any user viewing the page would. The way I use to work around this is to block my IP address from my logging script.

The way I tell the difference between my hits at the back end of the site and the viewers is by taking the away the amount of impressions from banners on all front pages of my site from the total number of page views stated in the web log stats

When viewing the stats if your statistical program allows it filter our the computers IP address, when we view stats we filter our the hostnames and our workers IPs. heheh

we filter out all internal IP

LOL, I never thought of filter out the internal IP addresses. I'm going to try that tomorrow morning when I do my weekly WebTrends reports:)

You really have to.......I know that I am constantly going to the site, checking things, making changes, checking them again, etc, etc.
