What realtime stats program is the best?

Right now, I use cpanl 9.0, and it has AWStats integrated. My main worry is that when I switch hosting plans, it wont have AWStats, or a good stat program. I think AWStats is one of the best, that is free. The only downside is that it is not realtime. If I was to buy a new hosting plan, is it hard to install AWStats on your own?

it's a free GNU command line program

a pain to learn and set up but very powerful indeed
