1x1 Pixels - will the partner see all page hits

I only want the ad partner to see clicks for the traffic they send us

1x1 clear pixels are pretty standard if the ad partner you are working with is focused on conversion and paid by registrations per say.

My question, if the code goes on the registration confirmation (Thank you) page to serve up the clear pixel - won't the pixel be served every time the page comes up and let the partner see and count our total registrations. They would be able to count ones they sent us and ones they didn't.

Should I recommend code that specifies we only serve up that 1x1 pixel when we know the visit came from that specific ad partner?

Yep (they would see the page everytime it's served up) and yes (Cookie the user when he hits the site, if the cookie is present show 1x1).

Course, not all users accept cookies, so try with url session variables as well. Or, just don't point out that little fact to the partner :)
