Google AdWords Conversion Tracking

Did this person mean that you could use stats inherent from your webhost instead of these conversion methods?

Well, yah but you need to parse out the keywords for it to be useful.

Generally, I just use the conversion tracking and use a cookie to get rid of the conversion image / text on the second page load.

how do you do that? sounds like it would be useful....that text is definitely something I wouldn't want customers to see on their way out.
