Hi all, I need to read files listed in a iPlanet web server. Before that i would like to know all about the tool, what is profile & filters. Could some one just guide me to web trend basics?

with iPlanet logs, look inside them and check to see if they are in good consecutive order. iPlanet tends to hoard log file data in a cache or something and then dump it all into logs in clumps of a couple minutes or so. I'm sure it's very efficient on iPlanet's part but it doesn't make log analyzers happy. Find a way to sort them by date/time before feeding them to an analyzer.
