Would ClickTracks still be a valuable analyzer if you dont place code on pages and rely strictly on Log Analysist? or in order to get the real value of ClickTracks would you have to place a line of script on certain pages?

It uses your raw log files.

You'll need to add tracking URL's if you intend to use the (PPC) conversion tools.

Yes - no tracking codes are needed for the analyser and pro versions.

Clicktracks rocks!

As discussed here many times the problem IMHO is one of accuracy. Log files miss many page views mostly because of caching systems employed by both the browser and hosting companies. The on page tracking code will provide the most accurate traffic reports, in some cases by far. It's been discussed in other threads here that as much as 30% can be lost due to these caching schemes and that on-page tracking code is worth the effort.
