Unusual log entries

for unknown reason

To keep a long story short, end of July someone visited one page twice in the same day. Nothing unusual about that.

However, since then nearly every day there is one or more - all at different times - one line entries in my log from the same IP as the initial visitor. Each entry asks for a single file, not that page as such but the css or one of the pics related to that page.
Each request is logged with a 304.

The IP is part of a small range belonging to a famous printer manufacturer and my page is totally unrelated to their business.

Does anyone have an idea what could be the reason for this?
I have never seen that before.

I've seen this before. No idea what the cause is but the best theory I could come up with is a broken proxy server on their corporate network.

Likewise, the IP that was hitting my site resolved to a big famous company; which adds weight to the proxy server theory.

Thank you dmorison
I have been digging through my logs and found several more instances of the same for other IPs.
All IPs resolve to companies so I guess you are right.
