Log shows different "GET" for G than MSN

Like many, I've been waiting and watching for Google to crawl all the pages on my site. MSN comes around much more frequently.

When I see that "G" has been to the site, I look in the log file to see what pages it's looked at. But, unlike other SE's, I just see a line that says "GET/ 80 -50.42.89.22" or some other IP-like number.

Is that IP-like number an actual page and, if so, is there a way I can figure out what page it is?

Thanks for any replies.

Sorry to be a pest, but doesn't anyone have an answer for this question?

"GET /" is a request for your home page (index.html or default.htm or ...)
