Webtrends vs. Urchin Discrepancy

Serious difference in statistics for same site.

Has anyone experienced such a difference in statistics for the same site?

Webtrends is listing page views at 1.3 Million for July.

Urchin is reporting page views at 690,000.

Is it potentially a setting that may need updating in either program so that these results are more uniform or is one application superior to the other.

Thank you very much for your input.

For this simple statistic, probably neither is better than the other; they are just defining a page differently, I'll bet. Look around for hit/page filters as well as what each program calls a page vs a download vs something else. Also, in Urchin especially because it's low, look at the day-by-day numbers and make sure Urchin analyzed all the logs.
