Hi all,
I just installed Awstats (tried to anyway)

I installed on suse 8.0 in /usr/local/awstats I then go to /usr/local/awstats/tools/ and run ./configure.pl when I run it, in shell it asks me a few questions and lets me set up a profile for the site, but it does not let me set my root folder?

My www root is located at /usr/local/httpd/htdocs awstats appears to be tracking /usr/local/awstats/wwwroot

Any info greatfuly recived.

Mack.

Mack,

I have awstats installed and I never could get configure.pl to work properly. I just edited the .conf file and modified the fields indicated.
The default .conf file resides in the same directory as the awstats.pl script.

Then run the awstats.pl -update -config=domain.name
command from the shell.

Dont know if thats what you want to hear but it might work for you.

PhraSEOlogy thanks fot that. I was convinced I was using the configure.pl wrongly. I didn't realize there was an issue with it. I took a look in the conf file it created and found that there was a "//" where there should have been a "/". That was enough to through the paths out.

It was one of those situations where I had been working on something else all night then started with awstats. I think lack of sleep had got to me lol

Cheers buddy :)
