Hooking up WebTrends to CMS database tables to translate parameters

Hi,

I have an installation of WebTrends Reporting center Enterprise edition (v6) and am trying ot do some parameter analysis.

I already have the parameter analysis set using the text file option - however I now have the requirement to get WebTrends to interpret my Content Management System data in a SQL database so that my users don't get presented with things like "article.jsp?id=123123&site=www&user=bob".

Can anyone point me in the right direction as I can't sem to find much on the web about this - apart from on the WebTrends site, but they just want me to buy a new plug-in "Intelligence Suite" rather than to help...

Any help is greatly appreciated...

I didn't try to answer because I'm not sure what you're trying to do and what the URLs look like - makes a big difference. Also I've been saying a lot in this forum lately and felt like I was talking too much. Anyway, would you please explain more?

am new to the forum game - wasn't sure whether "<snip>" was a dig because I had a go at Webtrends...

anyway - yeah I've noticed that you seem to be answering loads of the WebTrends questions, keep up the good work...

Have you responded to one similar to mine elsewhere in the forum - if so can you paste the url here? I noticed you talked about using text files, which is something i have already done... but not the database work... have you found stuff on the web that documents this?

cheers...

We can take this offline if you want. I like dealing with these puzzles. But it would help a lot to know what question you're ultimately trying to answer. You may not need to do anything all that elaborate.

By <snip> I meant I had entered an unflattering remark about your WebTrends salesperson and decided to delete it. Since this forum doesn't allow me to completely obliterate the fact that I entered a response, I just showed that I had entered something and had snipped it out!
