I'm experiencing some problems with WebTrends 7 - the new improved version of WebTrends Live.

I think they also call it WebTrends On Demand.

I'm getting data errors, crashes, bad downloads - is this just my luck - or are others having problems?

thanks,

Chewy

I am in the midst of purchasing Webtrends 7 but it is for a clustered environment (pro or enterprise, can't remember). Just waiting for a little bit of budget. ;)

Have you tried contacting their customer support? They have been pretty good for me. You might also want to try their knowledge base if there is something specific.

this is the live, hosted version - probably easily confused with other versions. Small Business Edition

Data seems inconsistent with what other tools are reporting. Tech Support says "yep, that's a known problem".

I go to change Templates - instead it dumps a lot of error messages.

I go to set user access controls, giving myself a new "limited" account so one of my clients can see his site - without seeing the other site there.

Sure enough, I log in to the "limited" account -- and I can see / manage both accounts - not just the one that it is supposed to be limited to.

All in all, it works - but doesn't well compare with the product it is superceeding.

With hosted software, one must go forward...

Features are fewer, benefits are fewer, load time is slower, price is more money - how do they do this?

chewy thanks for that
I am having problems just subscribing.
I contacted the email address on the site and they told me to phone!
Then I lost the email reply I got before phoning so asked for them to resend it.
Reply I goy was"Oh you need to download the software here" etc I specified the hosted version in my mail
Still waiting
Why,when you get a prospect, ready to sign, can they not just take the money beats me.
They need to follow some of their own advice in the seminars etc
