Hi,
I want recommandations for good inhouse webstatistics/roi tracking php software.
So no ASP but inhouse without monthly fees, with a one time purchase that runs entirerly on my server.
I dont want a loganalyzer but a cookie/javascript one called tag analyzer. Thats much more accurate then a loganalzyer. Only disadavatage: no tracking of searchbots / spiders or succesfull dowloads.

So far I found:
[roi-tracking-pro.com...] => in-house but limited
[softngine.com...] => inhouse, they promised me to include a ROI feature)
[hypertracker.com...] => only ROI ASP model
[deepmetrix.com...] => inhouse, both roi as webstats but expensive (895)
[actualscripts.com...] => inhouse but limited
[conversionruler.com...] => asp model and only ROI

Softngine sofare is the thing that comes a good way, but it lacks the ROI feature sofar and its Perl, but thats not bad anyway. But they dont have ROI yet.

Livestats is interesing but cost a lot $ 895,-
Softngine is better and cost $300 for 3 domains.

Anyone have another suggestion?

I'm curious about this portion of your question ... There are lots of $10 - $20 a month plans out there, which equates to $120 - $240 a year in fees.

For the type of software you're looking for, wouldn't it make more sense to pay for a hosted solution and know that it's always up to date, someone is there to support it, etc.? If you were to purchase something to run from your own network, there is a good bet that it would be outdated in a year or two and you would be looking to buy a new version then. So why not save your cash and pay for it in $10 - $20 increments instead? If you decide you don't like it later, you can switch to another solution instead of being out a few hundred bucks.

There have been a few threads without any good suggestions, where someone is looking to buy a complete roi/tracking package to host on their own server.

The reason to host it yourself, and own it outright, is then you can use it across multiple sites (and for some, possibly for clients).

If you have 30 websites, and want to tarck them all, $20/month becomes $7200/year. I'd rather just flat out pay for an entire package that I have complete control over for that price.

Yes and when bying a plan with free updates its easy to stay on top.

Hadn't thought about that part. Doh! Ever think about having something custom written?
