I've searched everywhere trying to find a tracking service or something to find out who it is.
Does anyone know of a way to solve my problem?
Simple option first: Do you use the text-messaging service yourself? If not, have the cell phone co. turn it off. No use paying for it *and* getting harassed. If you do use it, can you live without it? Your choice.
Depending on the exact nature of the messages, this harassment may qualify for 'special treatment' under the law. Threatening or abusive language, hate speech... That kind of stuff. Don't stretch the truth, but if these messages fit in any of those categories, then tell the service providers. If they fit and are really, really bad, then inform law enforcement -- Don't expect much, but tell them.
A letter to AOL and your cell phone company from your attorney would get some action, I'm sure. They *have* to be able to back-trace these messages, especially with the new world focus on security. Tell then to fix the problem or expect a subpoena.
Make a stink... The squeaky wheel gets the grease.
