WebTrends and Performance question

Hi all,

I'm having a very hard time answering this question to a client we have, and WebTrends tech support doesn't seem to be able to help either.

Given 3 Hardware configuration:
1. 1GHz processor with 1GB RAM
2. duo 2.5GHz processor with 2 GB RAM
3. 3.5GHz Xeon processor with 1GB RAM

With Webtrends setting of:
1. No GeoTrends running
2. worse case scenerio of Profile setup (ie. with filters, custom reporting.. etc...)
3. Analyzing raw log files (FTP locally with compressed log files)
4. 100MB of log files daily.

Now for the questions:
1. How much time would each configuration will take to analyze 1 Profile? 8 Profiles? 15 Profiles? (worst case scenerio with a range in time)
2. What is the performance factor if we double the processor speed? how about memory?

I understand there are different factors involved with determining performance in terms of time and all, but what I want to know is the best estimate for your average and controlled environment (your typical setup)... based on your experience.

Your response is appreciated.... thanks in advance!

analyzing one local 300meg log file for us takes about 10 minutes on a 2.4ghz P4 with 512megs ram. Analyzing a whole month at a time takes about 6 hours. This is without GeoTrends. Hope this helps to give u a general idea.

kjbrown, how many profiles do you have running per day? how long does it take to run all of them?
