I'm running apache 2.x and the logging is horrific.. i visit the page once and it shows sporadic results.. usually from 3-12 hits per actual hit from my ip.. i'm running apache on win2k3 server.. i've analyzed the log file with funnel, webalizer, and webtrends... all showed the same results so i'm assuming the logging program is the culprit for the sporadic results.. i looked at weblogexpert and they seem to have the logging that i'm looking for (logging by country, state, cities, organization, etc).. does anyone know what the problem with apache? or how can i fix the logging? i understand that apache doesnt log by country/state/cities, etc.. so if anyone has feedback about this.. i'd appreciate this very much! thanks guys!

Recently ran into the issue myself. When misconfigured, apache might give several redirects before actually serving the home page. Those would all be logged. Consider checking what exactly happens when you hit the default URL.
