[metricsmarket.com...]

Anyone know how it gets its data?

It has returned pretty accurate results for sites I know traffic levels for. Ranging from 1000 to 1 million visitors a month.

It looks like it wants to be a competitor to Nielsen Netratings, Comscore/Netscore etc. Another possible way they get data is through free pseudo-useful browser downloads of various kinds, widely and aggressively distributed, that report back to them on the anonymous, aggregated surfing behavior of all the users of the download.

A post like this appeared several months ago, for a few hours, then disappeared. I seem to remember it popping up in the supporters forum a day later ;)

It is a remarkably accurate service and I have wondered where it gets the data from. As I posted several months ago I think it has some kind of link to DNS providers.

Their data seems too accurate for scumware and there is no apparent toolbar link.
