Is there a way to track someone's IP via their email address? I got the email in hotmail through a newsgroup I'm a part of. I'd like to track the IP of the person who sent it. Is this possible? I've looked everywhere online.

Thanks in advance for the help.

View the headers of the email. Find the last IP in the list. It's probably theirs. Then, do a whois search on the IP and it will tell the registration info for that IP.

Welcome [webmasterworld.com] to WebmasterWorld apfuchs :)

I'd suggest running it thru http://www.spamcop.net for more precise information.

Hi. That's just it, though. There is no IP info in the header. Any suggestions?

Have you run it thru SC and with NO success?

No, I haven't run it through SC yet. I'll go to the site now.
I'll get back to you.
