Hello, I see people on here talking about checking their log files to see when they get spidered etc...

What log files do you check?

My server is an ensim... it runs on redhat.

Anyone know what logs I would check?

Like /etc/httpd/access.lot or whatever...

Yes, most often it is named access_log

This may be found at root level (sometimes named htdocs), or a sub-directory (usually named logs) or often it is in a directory one level above root (named logs.)

Your host should provide some sort of stats program. If you have Cpanel you will likely have access to either analog, webalyser or awstats. If your host dosn't provide stats get a new host.
