Hello!

I have this very strange line in the logs of a brand new site:

[03/Feb/2004:12:47:17 -0500] "GET widget.html" 200 169
"http://eval.google.com/happier/quest/altcache?local=%2Fwww%2Fdata%2Fquest%2Fq.random-
daily.20040130-142056%2F0033.00.cache.html"
"Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows 98)"

If I visit that location, it resolves to the Google Accounts log in page. I have three visits from this referrer and quite frankly, the URL "happier/quest" is just too compelling for me to ignore it.

Any insight as to what this is? I can only guess...

(BTW, I think this is allowed to post per TOS -- if I am wrong please delete this post with my apologies.)

This came up in an earlier thread, but there wasn't anything conclusive there i'm afraid:

Thanks for the reply... I had searched WW for eval.google and hadn't found that post.

I like GoogleGuy's response to it. :) Looks like it will remain a mystery.

Hmm... I know what I did, I was searching for eval.google.com and not getting anything. Which was, in retrospect, very silly for me to do.
