tracking search terms to submitted form via log analysis

Am I missing useful software?

Any input in solving this problem would be appreciated.

I need to track search terms to a submitted form without adding any scripts to the pages. So far I've looked at ClickTracks and 123LogAnalyzer - can anybody recommend any other software? I found that ClickTracks doesn't do exactly what I want it to do, and 123LogAnalyzer has too many other features that I don't necessarily need as I'm currently using WebTrends for all of the other reporting functionality.

Thanks!

Hi - I've been working on exactly the same thing, attempting to get WebTrends to do it. It is supposedly one of the features. I've tried submitting tracking URL's to one search engine, and then tried to capture the info using filters. To no avail. Doesn't work with hit or visit filters.

The only bright spot: I think it's coming along in Custom Reports. I use "Key phrases" & "Entry Page" (although I believe Search Engine can go there, as well) as my Primary & Secondary Dimensions, as Measure I select visits to the form, and form completion.

I don't know if this helps you at all, depending on what version you are running, plus, I can't claim to be an expert.

If anyone else out there has something better to work with, I wish you'd jump in here.

Thanks akkseo!

I was just replying to your post in the other thread.. :)

I'm using the WebTrends Reporting Center - eBusiness Edition. Where do you have an option to filter by "Key Phrases"?

gee I thought I sent this off yesterday, but it doesn't look like it. In the Custom Reports list, accessed with the top menu, they are categorized as Marketing. Or you can add your own.

You can select two dimensions: like - Referrer and Search Phrases, and then add the measures. I selected parts of a scenario I had built - the form & confirmation of the form being submitted.

And, today, at long last - it seems to be working.
