I am brand new to this so please bare with me. I am looking at my site statistics in Urchin and one of the top domains to hit my site is Arin.net. I understand that you look up IPs at Arin....but why would it be spidering my site?

Thanks,
KS

Welcome to WebmasterWorld kyles42. :)

Yes, you can look up sites from within ARIN (American Registry for Internet Numbers)

http://www.arin.net/tools/whois_help.html

Having IP Numbers hit your site from ARIN does not mean that ARIN is doing it. Rather it means that an IP Number assigned to someone within the United States has been hitting your site.

By plugging in the IP Number you'll be able to accertain whom it was that was hitting your site.
