I use them both. Each have their own benefits.

I have downloaded both trial they are very similiar, yet webtrends is about $350 more expensive than 123, there has to be a reason

You'd think, but there probably isn't. That's like saying that MS Office costs whatever it costs, and OpenOffice is free, and there must be a reason. They're the same product.

I just looked at the 2 briefly and I would pick 123 just from the sample reports and the fact that it is much cheaper if you have several sites on several servers.
