Dumbot(version 0.1 beta)

anyone know this bot?

Showing up in our logs. Couldn't find anything on a search of WebmasterWorld, and a Google search just brings up a whack of public stats.

I can't find anything useful except it showing as a UA in a few log analysis reports online. Its first visit to my server appears to have been Nov 22, first requesting robots.txt, then a few dozens documents b/w then and today, but never robots.txt again. It came from 6 IPs on the 138.88 subnet (Verizon Global Networks, Inc. according to ARIN), 3 IPs on the 141.156 subnet (Verizon Internet Services according to ARIN) and a single IP on the 68.167 subnet (Covad Communications according to ARIN).

Since I can't locate a URL with more info. about the bot, it doesn't appear to follow 301 redirects and as of yet it hasn't checked the robots.txt file a second time after 2.5 weeks I'm tempted to block it in robots.txt to see if it respects robots.txt and will actually look at it again and firewall it if it doesn't.

If and when I find more info. I'll post it here.
