Client has asked me to promote their site.
How could i track visitors that click from me to them and then go on to buy someting?

Arrangement can only work if I know how many click through from my promiotional site to thier main site anfd then go on to buy
Any suggestions?

Perhaps a special offer on your site with a promotional code to track sales?

When they buy something, ask the client to add a promo code field to the submission form.

Only thing is - it means your client tracks the sales - not you.

Install a 3rd party affiliate program on your client's e-commerce system - that way you will send traffic using special links that will be tracked by the system.

Bear in mind, that these links are sometimes worthless in terms of popularity, however sometimes they are assimilated by engines completely.

I use hitslink and it tracks visitors. It tells me conversions, order amounts, search engine or ppc campaign, and which search term generated order. Very useful.I wouldn't be without it.

Pierre
Hitslink is 9$ per month.
What does your suggestion cost?
And why is it better than hitlslink

Looking forward to your reply

Hehe

$9 per 1,000 page views and for a limited version - that's ridiculous!

always read the bottom line...

look - 1,000 pageviews is nothing - most commercial sites service this amount of views in one day...

also - the $9 is for the regular version that does not analyze any conversions, campaigns etc.

goto my site and see for yourself. I can't advertise her. i can only say that we start at $49.90
