we spend ppc to get potential customers to our site. however the sale is made on another server (the technology providers), which makes it impossible to track ROI correctly.

we can get a rough idea of how many of these ppc visitors click on the "check availability" button, but we have no idea how many of them actually buy.

is there anyway to easily track them?

at the moment our site is static html. but will all be in php this winter. could i use session_ids? and pass on the SID in the URL to the second server and pick it up from there?

might there be another way?

many thanks

Yes - there is another way.

Using a cookie tracking system from a third party server. the cookies are all laid by the third party, so doesn't matter what domain they are on. You have to put the same snippet of code on every page you wish to track - including your technology provider's thankyou page.
