I'm sure it's a fairly common hack, but some hacked my LinkMax2 database last night. I have since learned how simple it is, and I fixed the problem with mine. (I also set up a trap door for future hackers... should be fun)

So, now that I have the IP of the hacker, and have located an e-mail address or two courtesy of SamSpade, should I even bother sending an e-mail complaint? The IP is in Amsterdam.

(I have also found two other IPs that hit my site for the same search, possibly for the same reason. Also from Amsterdam.)

Is there a good way to deal with this type? Or is it just useless?

Protect yourself, if nothing was damaged let it be.
