Hi folks, iv'e begun to use webalizer to process apache's access logs - which do contain the querystring portion of URLs requested, but i cannot get the output of webalizer to display this information.

Can anyone offer thier advice on how to do this?

Thanks in advance, jto

Welcome to WebmasterWorld johntheother,

Sorry this sat around for a bit. Did you figure anything out?

I have to admit I've never had much luck with webalizer. It never seems to give any stats of real value. There are a bunch of threads around about opinions on various stats programs.

Personally, whenever a site has only webalizer the first thing I do is switch.

You know where you have the search engine stuff in the conf file?

SearchEngineyahoo.comp=

could you do your own

SearchEngine mysite.com qs=

then I would guess you would have to make sure that the section on removing your own referer was set so as not to nuke the referer with the qs.

This may work. Now I have to go and try a few things out. :)

I eventually wrote my own log analyzer in java - its now part of the web based CMS I use for several sites. however, when I got the email notice that somebody had replied to my post, I followed the included link back to webmasterworld to dicover I'd been banned. lovely.
