Hi,

I currently use the log analyzer Awstats, but it doesn't cater to my current need.

I wish to learn pageviews and visitors in the different sections on my site. Is there a free counter which I could use for this purpose.

Basically it could give me different codes which I could add to different sections of my site, and the reporting would show me vistors/day and pageviews/day broken down by those sections.

Thanks.

There are a number of tools that will allow you to do this. Can't think of a free one, though.

You could get a couple of months out of a free Sawmill trial ...

Noticed the Sitemeter recommendation above ... must keep working on the speed of my typing :)

This doesn't allow you to look at paths through your site like some of the paid packages (somebody will probably show me a feature I have managed to miss now!)

Might be worth comparing Sitemeter with that free Sawmill trial. That will give you an idea of what kind of info is available.
