Is this usual

A person located in the UK sending a product to their home address in UK, ends up with me being overly cautious because my vendor indicates they are using an IP in Japan.

I did a search and it is an AOL server in Japan.

Surely this must cause others a few problems when issued potential fraud warnings from vendors.

Ive never had this issue because I use PayPal and they wont release IP addresses to me. However since you have this information handy id use it for your benifit. E-Mail the person or call them for verifications to see what is happening. If you dont want to spend the dime then dont send it out or atleast get really insured and signed for in many ways incase something does go down.

Thanks Elite

The point is, I know they are in the UK, but why should an AOL IP address from the UK show up as an IP in Japan.

Surely this must of happenned to others.... Any other AOL UK users out there had this happen to them......and don't call me Shirley.

Hi garry,

Why not just call the customer and tell them your situation.. I am sure every genuine customer will understand.. and just ask him to place the order on the phone. (if possible you should dial the number... so you know where you are dialing)

Hope this helps.
