Anyone any info on statistics for average session lengths of visits to websites?
logfile tools provide this information for a single websites, is there any comparison available - benchmarks etc. - for sites like amazon or sites grouped by region or industry?

It totally depends upon the site. I have seen differences from two almost identicle looking sites that were vastly different. It depends on so many variables such as where the traffic came from...etc.
