How to trace them?

My log files show the same IP address showing up month after month, in fact for the last 10 months. Each month they are visiting around 50 times. As most of my traffic is pay per click generated, this is costing me. Is there any way to track back from the IP address to find out who it is? Alternatively, I have my suspicions as to who it is anyway. Can I find out a companies ip address or range of IP addresses if I know their web address?

samspade.org should help you find the company that has the IP and some other neat tricks that can assist you further.
Doing a tracert in the DOS prompt can give you an IP for an address i.e. tracert thisdomain.com *OR* ping thisdomain.com

You might want to check on that IP address's referral information before drawing a conclusion that they are using a sponsored link. Just a thought...
