ClickTracks sessions

How are they tracking them?

I'm evaluating ClickTracks to do logfile analysis. Overall, i think its great. But does anyone know how they are determining sessions? I assume that they are looking at IP addresses?

Is there anyway to tell ClickTracks to look at a cookie?

Clicktracks determines sessions using the client IP address from your logfiles. The cookie field in your logfiles in not required by clicktracks but it will look at it if it is there.

The exact methods which they use to gather all the information are (understandably) not public. The most important info which it looks at, I think, is the user agent, referrer and client IP.
