Hiding / faking your IP address

Hi, I'm looking for a way in which I could surf the web without all these websites taking my IP address (like this forum for example). Some way my ip could appear different perhaps? So that people wouldn't be able to see who I am?

I looked at at program "Multiproxy" but I don't know if I'm useing it right. I have cable with a router on 3 comps so I went to the lan setts, put that 127.0.0.1 in proxy name and 8088 in port slot. Then I added some proxies to the program but the internet just didn't work :(

Perhaps some other solutions?

Thanks in advance

You can't actually 'fake' an IP address, as the information has to get back to your computer somehow.

But you can go through another computer, and use their IP address as your surf. A quick search on google brings up examples.

There are many open (insecure?) web proxies that you could use, just do a google to find them.
