Hi
We use google adwords. Each google ad has a?source=xyz parameter to enable tracking. But when I look at my logs the number of clicks from google is way lower than the number we pay google for.

For what reasons could my clicks from google adwords not be the same as the data in my log file.

Thanks

One reason why the clicks in you logs will be much lower that google provides you with is due to caching proxy servers which store the page the first time someone requests it and then if someone else on the same ISP or on the same proxy requests that page also then it is cached also if the person has visited the site before then it could also be cached locally.
