hi,

Recently all but the last month and 1/2 of about 8 months worth of my log files disappeared from my web host's server. They basically said "too bad, even if we had them they wouldn't be available to you". (They rotate backup files daily and will not recover files for individual virtual websites unless the whole server goes down.) Unfortunately, I do not have a backup of the files. I didn't delete the files - what could have caused this?

However, LiveStats is still showing stats for the missing months. (Previously the web host told me that I couldn't use WebTrends AND LiveStats for analysis, but I had been and still can except now WebTrends only goes back 1-1/2 months.)

Is there an easy way to download all the LiveStat log files besides going to each individual page in LiveStats and either printing or exporting the files?

Thanks.

Livestats keeps all its stats in mySQL or I think you can also use Microsoft SQL. The only thing I can think of is export those tables from the db.

I have done so here to poke around and see how the thing is structured.

hi,

I looked around the website in all the areas I have access to but couldn't find any access to SQL, just .log files by date (from mid-Feb 2003).

Guess I'll have to ask the host how to get them.

Thanks for your help.
